Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of AutoFindr (the "Service"), accessible at autofindr.net. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

AutoFindr provides automated risk analysis, reliability reports and related information about used cars sold in the European market. Content is generated from public data sources (TÜV, ADAC, NHTSA, DVSA MOT and similar) and large language models. AutoFindr is an information service only. It does not sell cars, broker transactions, provide financial advice, or guarantee the condition of any vehicle.

2. Free vs. paid features

• The core analyzer, browse, comparison, blog and reliability pages are provided free of charge.
• The Full Analysis report is a paid digital service. Pricing is shown on the relevant page before purchase. We reserve the right to change paid feature pricing for future purchases; changes never affect orders already paid for.

3. Account & access

Most of the Service does not require an account. When you purchase a paid feature, you provide your email address so we can deliver the report and any related communications. You are responsible for keeping that email address valid.

4. Accuracy & disclaimer of warranty

AutoFindr's analysis combines public data with AI-generated content. It is intended as one input among many for your buying decision, not as a definitive technical assessment. We strongly recommend a hands-on pre-purchase inspection by a qualified mechanic before completing any vehicle purchase.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific result (a successful purchase, a fair price, a fault-free car) will be achieved through its use.

5. Mandatory consumer rights (EU)

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights under applicable EU law, including without limitation the rights granted by Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights. Where the law of your country of residence grants additional rights, those rights apply alongside these Terms.

6. Right of withdrawal — digital services

Under Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, you lose the right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content/services if performance has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. When you purchase a Full Analysis report, you:

• Expressly consent to the immediate generation and delivery of the report, and
• Acknowledge that you lose your right to withdraw from that purchase once generation begins.

You will see this disclosure and consent prompt at checkout. Our Refund Policy sets out the circumstances in which we issue voluntary refunds beyond the strict statutory minimum.

7. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

• Scrape, copy, mirror or republish AutoFindr content at scale without our written permission;
• Use the Service to harass, defraud, or harm others;
• Attempt to bypass access controls, rate limits or paywalls;
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract our prompts, datasets, or models;
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose under EU or your local law.

8. Intellectual property

The Service's code, design, brand and aggregated datasets are owned by the Operator or its licensors. Public source data (TÜV / ADAC / NHTSA / MOT) is used under the applicable public-data licences (e.g. UK Open Government Licence v3.0 for MOT data). Wikipedia images are used under their respective Creative Commons licences with attribution. Reports generated for you remain available for your personal, non-commercial use.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator's aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or €100, whichever is greater. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable mandatory law (e.g. for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 14 days. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the version then in force.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Operator's EU country of establishment, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. Consumers domiciled in the EU may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
