About AutoFindr
Last updated:
AutoFindr is an independent service that helps European buyers evaluate used cars before they spend money on one. We aren't a dealer, a manufacturer, or a marketplace — we don't sell cars and we don't take a commission on any transaction. The site exists to answer one question: is this specific car a good buy at this price?
What we do
We combine reliability evidence from multiple independent sources into a single composite score per (brand, model). The current sources are:
- TÜV — German technical inspection failure rates
- ADAC — German automobile club roadside-breakdown statistics
- NHTSA — US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration complaint data
- DVSA MOT — UK Ministry of Transport test pass/fail history
Those scores feed three products: a top-rated discovery feed, a deep risk analyzer for a specific listing (year, mileage, price, spec), and a side-by-side comparison tool. We also publish editorial buyer guides on the blog.
Who we are
AutoFindr is operated by Zlatin Etimov, registered at Grigor Bozhkov 8 vh.G apt.23, Plovdiv 4023, Bulgaria. We're a small team based in the EU, building the site we wished existed when we last shopped for a used car.
How we're funded
Most of AutoFindr is free to use. We monetise through a paid Deep Analysis tier (one-off purchases, no subscriptions) and editorial partnerships clearly labelled as such. We do not accept payment from manufacturers, dealers, or marketplaces in exchange for favourable ratings — the composite reliability score is computed from external sources we don't control.
What we're not
- We're not affiliated with any car manufacturer or dealership.
- We don't sell vehicles, parts, finance, or insurance.
- We don't hold any personal data beyond what's described in our Privacy Policy.
- We're not a substitute for a professional pre-purchase inspection. Use both.
