Refund Policy

Last updated:

This Refund Policy applies to paid digital services purchased on AutoFindr — currently the Full Analysis report. It complements (and does not override) your statutory rights under EU consumer-protection law.

1. EU statutory right of withdrawal

Under Article 9 of Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, consumers domiciled in the EU normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract for digital services.

However, Article 16(m) of the same Directive provides an exception for digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, where:

  1. performance has begun with the consumer's prior express consent, and
  2. the consumer has acknowledged that they thereby lose their right of withdrawal, and
  3. the trader has provided confirmation of the contract.

When you purchase a Full Analysis, the checkout flow asks you to:

  • Expressly consent to immediate generation and delivery of the report (we cannot deliver it without generating it — this is intrinsic to the product), and
  • Acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once generation begins.

We send you a confirmation email containing the report and a copy of these Terms. From the moment we begin generating the report, the statutory 14-day withdrawal right ceases to apply. This is what the EU Directive permits and is standard practice for premium digital content services.

2. Voluntary refunds (beyond the statutory minimum)

Notwithstanding section 1 above, we will issue a full refund in the following circumstances:

  • Technical failure on our side — the report failed to generate, was empty, was unreadable, or was never delivered to your email.
  • Duplicate or accidental purchase — you paid twice for the same car within 24 hours.
  • Material data error — the report references the wrong vehicle (e.g. the brand/model you submitted is mis-handled by our pipeline). We will either re-issue the correct report at no cost or refund you, at your choice.

Voluntary refunds are processed within 5 business days of receipt of a valid refund request. Refunds are issued via the original payment method.

3. Circumstances where refunds are NOT available

Once the report is successfully generated and delivered, we do not provide refunds on the basis that:

  • you disagree with the report's conclusions;
  • you no longer want to buy the car;
  • the seller raised the price or the car sold to someone else;
  • you would have made the same decision without the report;
  • information in the report turns out to be already known to you.

The product you bought is the analysis itself — not a guarantee of any particular outcome.

4. How to request a refund

Send an email to refunds@autofindr.net within 14 days of purchase, including:

  • your order email + approximate purchase date;
  • the make / model / year you analyzed;
  • a brief description of the issue you are reporting.

We respond to refund requests within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed via Stripe within 5 business days; bank settlement can take a further 2–7 days depending on your card issuer.

5. Chargebacks

We always prefer to resolve disputes directly. Please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer. Chargebacks filed without a prior good-faith attempt to contact us may be contested with full transaction evidence (proof of delivery, IP + device fingerprint, AI-generation logs).

6. Relationship to other policies
